David L. McCune started McCune Insurance in 1932 with the core beliefs of providing quality customer service, doing business in an honest fashion, and being committed to community and family. Today, over 75 years later, those same beliefs are still the core principles used to operate McCune-Robinson, Inc. David grew up in Chanute and received his BBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He was active in city government, his church, and many civic organizations. David was committed to making and keeping strong relationships with his customers and the companies he represented. When putting together an insurance package, it was an ideal situation for both parties involved. The customer received great coverage and service, while the companies in turn received great customers. He was a hard working, honest man and was known for his jovial attitude and straight shots on the fairway. He passed away in 1986.
